Father’s Day is the best time of the year to show doting dads just how loved they are, but who says that the whole family can’t have fun too?! This Father’s day, Drayton Manor Park is looking forward to welcoming families for an unforgettable day, filled with thrills, spills and tasty food.
The Staffordshire attraction is well aware that the way to a man’s heart is through his belly, and because of this, Drayton Manor will be offering a scrumptious Sunday Lunch in the Parkland’s Restaurant, located at the onsite hotel. It’s priced at just £17.95 for adults and £8.95 for under 12’s, with under 2’s eating free. What’s more, those who enjoy a carvery can gain access to the park for just £10* each and Season Pass holders can save 20% off the carvery deal prices, offering a great value for money day out!
Three delicious courses are available, including a selection of homemade soups for starters, with mains consisting of a choice of succulent roast meats, accompanied by fresh seasonal vegetables. Also, to ensure everyone is catered for, the restaurant will be offering vegetarian options, and for those with a big appetite or a sweet tooth, there’s a tasty dessert menu, featuring favourites such as apple crumble tart, lemon cheesecake and vanilla sundae.
When at the park, outdoor enthusiasts can experience nature like no other on the new Tamarin Trail. The trail takes visitors through an enchanting passage getting up close and personal to the inquisitive Marmosets and Tamarins. The path cuts across eight different enclosures, offering a peak into the lives of the White Lipped Tamarin, Red Handed Tamarin, Emperor Tamarin, Cotton Top Tamarin and the Common Marmoset.
For dads who love thrill rides, the park offers some of the biggest, wettest and scariest rides around. These include the adrenaline-inducing Apocalypse, stomach-churning Maelstrom, insanely addictive stand up rollercoaster Shockwave and Stormforce 10; a water ride with a reverse drop, guaranteed to keep visitors cool and entertained even on the hottest of days.
No mention of summer fun at Drayton Manor would be complete without fan-favourite Thomas Land™. Visitors can enjoy new rides and attractions such as Flynn the Fire Engine, who is equipped with on-board hoses that enable riders to help put fires out, and Captain’s Sea Adventure, which introduces not one, but six rotating Captain lifeboat carriages, all complete with their own water cannons. Beyond that, die-hard fans can also enjoy Toby’s Tram Express and the new Sodor Airport Terminal which boasts top notch views of Thomas Land for VIP ‘travellers’.
