It encourages you to lie on your left side which is the best position for mother and baby (But is just as comfortable on your right by passing the leg support through the back of your knees) and gently prevents you from rolling on to your back during your sleep (Which can restrict bloodflow to your baby).

Using the dreamgenii Maternity Pillow from about 20 weeks pregnant, can also encourage your baby to adopt the optimal birth position which can mean a shorter and less painful labour. The dreamgenii pregnancy pillow used as a breastfeeding support, is designed to support your back during feeding and keep the baby at the correct height and position for breastfeeding.

This DreamGenii pregnancy and feeding support pillow is amazing!!!! I am 23 weeks pregnant and since around 19 weeks was starting to become uncomfortable getting comfy in bed which was really beginning to effect my sleep. Before receiving this pillow I had bought a pregnancy pillow from a local supermarket for £15, this was basically a long straight pillow, I’d guess around 4ft long. I slept with this for one night and it was no use what so ever!!l It was heavy, stiff and difficult to position in a way I would find comfortable. So I couldn’t wait to receive The DreamGenii pillow to see if it could help me. The pillow comes in a lovely package with a handle which makes it ideal to easily pack back away and take with you on nights away etc or Anywere you might need it!!! It is light and very cool to sleep with and comes with its own uniquely shaped pillow case which can be removed and put in the washing machine when needed. It’s a lovely size, not to big. The small support at the back gives you a nice cushion to your back and speaking from previous pregnancys I am certain this will be more and more appreciated the more heavily pregnant I become. It curves nicely to sit between your legs meaning there is no effort at all the try and bend it or position it to make yourself comfortable. This product has been a god send and it is worth the RRP all day long. Every Mum-to-Be needs one of these!!!!!

I have a slight obsession with pregnancy pillows and have bought quite a few different ones in the hope of a good nights sleep, so I jumped at the chance to test the DreamGeni pillow.
Upon removing the pillow from the pack it appeared a lot smaller than the image on the packaging. The pillow has a back support cushion, centre panel, bump support cushion and leg support. The pillow can also be used as a feeding pillow once your baby is born. There are clear instructions on the back of the pack advising how to use for both support and feeding to ensure you get the best use of the pillow.
It is always recommended that us pregnant women sleep on our left sides to help the baby get into the right position; the DreamGeni has won multi awards and is recommended by midwives. I found the pillow quite short for my needs and I am not particularly tall; 5ft 6.5. I found the back support was too soft and didn’t really support my back in anyway but this could be because I am in my 3rd trimester and suffering with lower back pain but what I would have preferred is more of a curved back support and a lot firmer to support my whole back.
The DreamGeni comes with a removable pillow case which is machine washable and you can purchase replacement covers direct from the manufacturer.
This pillow in my opinion is better suited to women in the early stages of pregnancy and it would be fab if it came in different lengths or firmness.

I have slept on my front all my life and I was quite apprehensive about how I was going to manage to sleep in any other position while pregnant. The dreamgenii is intended to help you get comfortable lying on your left hand side to sleep, which is the recommended sleeping position for pregnancy. When I first received this pillow I was pleasantly surprised by its size, as my husband had expected it to be huge and take up too much space in the bed! It is actually quite a compact size despite the fact it includes a long bump and leg support section, a separate back support and a panel to lie on. It is also quite lightweight and folds up fairly small so is not too bulky to store.

When using the pillow I find it does help me to get into a comfy sleeping position and gives a good amount of support to the legs and knees. I find the back support less noticeable, as that part of the pillow is a lot smaller. However, it is the bump and legs where I personally need more support. It is quite soft and not too firm, which makes it feel nice and relaxing.

Even though I know it’s recommended to sleep on the left side, I can’t help moving around in the night and it is possible to flip the pillow over so you can sleep in the same position on the right as well. I am glad it is versatile enough to allow this as there is no way I would be able to sleep all night without moving around at all. The only thing is that if you want to move it is a bit cumbersome to move the pillow, as you have to lift the whole thing and flip it over. I have woken my husband a couple of times while doing this as it’s hard to be completely quiet and discreet!

On the whole this pillow helps me achieve a good night’s sleep and I would recommend it.
