We reviewed the Birds gro bag. My almost 4month old baby girl put this through its paces.
So firstly, this is a beautiful grobag with a gorgeous print and would make an ideal baby gift. It comes in a smart little package along with a free thermometer so you can see what the room temp is.
I found it very tricky to unzip the bag, this was due to the zip safety at the top. The zip safety is a great idea but i found it fiddly and found it would agitate my daughter as i was fiddling under her chin area trying to align the zip.
I have used other branded gro bags which have the zip at the side. I have found this method alot easier both for baby and me.
The price of £35 is reasonable as it is what i would expect to pay for a nice sleeping bag. The quality is excellent and the feel of the bag is lovely.
I think we will get a few more months use out of this so overall good value for money.

We love gro bags for their ease and these Orla Kiely designed ones are not only really beautiful but also incredibly practical. They zip up down the front which means there is no fiddling around and you can open the bag right up to place your baby inside. They feel really safe and secure as there are extra poppers in the arm holes to make a more snug fit on a younger baby but to allow plenty of space for when your baby is getting to the bigger end of the age range.

My three month old daughter is in the 0-6 month bag and it will definitely last her until at least six months as the sizing allows for plenty of wiggle room.

At £35 I would say that this product is good value. You are paying for the unique Orla Kiely designs and the quality which is fantastic. The bags wash well and one bag will easily last you six months of daily use. This is all the bedding that my baby needs and she layers it with a vest, sleepsuit or vest and sleepsuit as the weather changes. The sleeping bag comes with a handy room thermometer which helps you work out how to dress your baby and has an easy guide on the back – I love this extra touch and how it helped us with safe sleeping.

All in all I think this is a great product. The designs are stunning and they are a sleep essential for us.

We tried out the 6-18 month 1 tog sleeping bag in the boats pattern. I love Gro bags – they’re always high quality, they wash well, and are generously sized which is good with a large 9 month old – this 6-18 month bag will last us ages!

Our sleeping bag zipped up the front with a hole in the back for car seats, this feature has come in handy on a couple of nights where we’ve had to resort to driving in the car to get my son to sleep (I know…naughty us :-)) it means we can fasten the car seat buckle through the bag, so it’s a lot easier to get from car seat to bed while still in the bag.

The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is just down to the pattern design. It’s nice, but I don’t think I’d choose it in the shops – the pictures on the website look a lot nicer than what I found the boats Gro bag to look like in real life.

Overall I’d highly recommend the Orla Kiely Gro bag, I think it’s high quality, value for money and a nursery essential!
